Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make commercial games with Vectarine?

Section titled “Can I make commercial games with Vectarine?”

Yes, of course! It would be cool to credit Vectarine if you do, but you don’t have to.

Note however that Vectarine is provided “as-is without warranty of any kind”, you are responsible for your own game, its distribution and cannot blame Vectarine for any issues you might have with it.

But I’d be happy to help you if I have some free time and if you ask nicely.

Can I use AI to make games with Vectarine?

Section titled “Can I use AI to make games with Vectarine?”

Yes, sure! Vectarine itself is human-written, but its “code-first” approach which involves writing text makes it very compatible with AI development and “vibe-coding”. If you do, I’d advise you to give the user-manual.md file (also named vectarine-guide.md) to your AI as context.

You can go to the gallery to find some examples of games made with Vectarine, and you can also check out the guides for tutorials.
